These Terms of Use govern access to and use of TrustCheck, including account creation, organizations, asset verification, automated scanning, brand protection, monitoring, reports, trust badges, integrations, APIs, billing, and professional security services.
1. Eligibility And Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account or organization. You are responsible for keeping credentials, API keys, connected-app tokens, and team access secure. Activity performed by invited team members is treated as activity of the organization unless proven otherwise.
2. Authority To Submit Assets
You may only submit domains, applications, APIs, repositories, servers, IP addresses, social media accounts, email domains, brands, executives, marketplace listings, or other digital identities that you own, control, or are legally authorized to assess. TrustCheck may require email verification, organization verification, asset ownership proof, legal consent, signed authorization scope, or admin review before scans, monitoring, attack simulation, vetting, or trust badge issuance.
3. Security Scanning, Monitoring, And Brand Protection
Automated scans and monitoring are designed to be safe, but security testing can still reveal sensitive information or affect fragile systems. You must define scope accurately, exclude systems that should not be tested, keep emergency contacts current, and ensure all scanning complies with applicable contracts, hosting rules, platform policies, and laws.
4. Vetting Requests And Professional Services
Vetting requests, penetration tests, compliance reviews, and analyst-led engagements may require a separate quote, signed authorization, scope document, points of contact, and additional terms. TrustCheck may decline or pause an engagement if the scope is unclear, unauthorized, unsafe, illegal, or likely to harm third parties.
5. Reports, Scores, Badges, And Public Profiles
Reports, scores, risk ratings, AI insights, badges, and public trust profiles reflect the information available at the time of testing. They are not a guarantee that an asset, organization, vendor, or system is secure or vulnerability-free. Public badge pages show approved tested scope and verification status; private recommendations and untested areas remain inside the organization dashboard unless you choose to disclose them.
6. Acceptable Use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. You must not use TrustCheck for unauthorized scanning, intrusion attempts, credential theft, malware, denial-of-service activity, spam, fraud, harassment, privacy violations, or any unlawful purpose.
7. Customer Data And Confidentiality
Security findings, uploaded evidence, authorization documents, reports, scan results, integration logs, and account data are treated as confidential customer data. You grant TrustCheck permission to process that data as needed to provide, secure, support, improve, audit, and comply with obligations related to the service.
8. Billing, Subscriptions, And Add-ons
Paid plans, monitoring add-ons, one-time purchases, quotes, credits, and professional services may be processed through supported payment providers. Plan limits, feature access, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and taxes are shown in the product, on the pricing page, or in an approved quote. You are responsible for keeping billing information current.
9. Third-Party Services And Integrations
TrustCheck can connect to services such as payment processors, email providers, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, WhatsApp, ClickUp, webhooks, threat intelligence sources, and other providers. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
10. Intellectual Property
TrustCheck and its platform content, software, brand, documentation, generated badge designs, and workflows are owned by TrustCheck or its licensors. You retain ownership of your customer data, uploaded files, and organization content. You may use valid badge embed code only for badges issued to your organization and only while they remain active.
11. Suspension And Termination
TrustCheck may throttle, suspend, restrict, or terminate access to protect the platform, prevent abuse, comply with law, investigate suspicious activity, enforce these Terms, or respond to payment issues. You may stop using the service at any time, subject to any active subscriptions, quotes, or legal retention requirements.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Security assessments reduce risk but do not eliminate it. TrustCheck does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete vulnerability discovery, compliance certification, successful takedowns, or third-party platform action.
13. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustCheck is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, lost-profit, lost-revenue, or business interruption damages arising from use of the service.
14. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may require renewed acceptance. Continued use after an update means you agree to the updated Terms.
